A brand new SACMI-Riedhammer tunnel kiln has recently been installed and commissioned at Protik, lead player in the Tableware industry in Bangladesh for many years. The model TST 56/210/60-G kiln is designed for glost firing tableware pieces and has started production at the company’s highly modern second production plant located near the capital Dhaka.
The growth of Protik over the years has been marked by a great attention to quality and design as shown by many of their recent investments, not least the new cutting-edge Sacmi-Riedhammer kiln which will launch the Bangladesh company into the top ranks of tableware manufacturers in the country.
Equipped with 68 cars, the Sacmi-Riedhammer kiln is provided with an automatic movement system for a length of 56 metres with a useful loading width of 2.1 metres and a useful height equal to 0,6 metres. The machine is designed to meet the latest requirements in terms of energy saving, such as the system to pre-heat the combustion air up to 400 °C and other advanced adjustment and control devices (7 control units for 52 burners) to optimize the firing curve.
The high production capacity TST kiln can handle up to 15.2 tons of glazed product per day fired at high temperature (1.350 °C) in a reduction atmosphere, for a production cycle of 6 hours. To further optimize performance there are fans provided with inverters to reduce electrical consumption when in stand-by.
An important new customer for SACMI, Protik operates in a rapidly expanding market in Bangladesh and is ready to meet the highest quality and production standards internationally.
