The latest solution just commissioned is the MONO 10T Evolution for automatic dip glazing of cups and mugs, the second Mono-T installed at Akij. In its latest version the machine offerseven more versatility thanks to modular
design and rapid glaze-colour change-over
SACMI’s long-standing partnership with Akij Bangladesh is consolidated thanks to a new investment in the tableware plant at the factory in Trishal. A new SACMI-SAMA MONO 10-T Evolution has recently been tested and started up successfully and is part of an ambitious investment project to strengthen the Group’s position on the Ho.Re.Ca market, with its new collections already presented to great acclaim at the recent Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt.
Following on from the MONO 10-T, successfully running at the factory for several years, Akij chose SAMA’s Evolution solution which, compared to the previous model, features a modular design, a wide range of configurations and fast glaze-colour change-over. Minimum setup times and reduced maintenance requirements are further benefits added to the well tried-and-tested SACMI-SAMA solution already renowned throughout the market for more than two decades.
With high performance and precision, thanks to movements controlled by the servo-motors, MONO 10-T has been developed to optimize all parameters. For example; the glazing arm rotating mechanism has been re-designed to improve the dipping angle thus reducing contact between the glaze and the supports to a minimum guaranteeing a better quality glazed piece.
MONO 10-T Evolution is designed for a production output of 1200 pieces per hour. The pick-up system is also especially innovative since it is configured so that even wash foot pieces can be dip-glazed, as is increasingly required by the market.
With this new machine - as well as the other recent investments in SACMI-SAMA isostatic pressing, pressure casting and glazing technology - production output at the Trishal factory has grown to more than 100 thousand pieces per year of various articles.
