THE REASONS BEHIND A GLOBAL TECHNOLOGICAL LEADERSHIP

SACMI developed the first press for crown caps as early as in 1949. Between the 70s and the 80s, SACMI crown cap presses quickly became the world-leading products in the industry, thanks to their superior technology, a combination of automation and high productivity. Today, the SACMI PTC range, further updated and enhanced, is the global technological benchmark equipment in the industry.

SACMI has developed solutions upstream and downstream of the press for liner application, cap decoration and embossing, and automatic inspection of each individual capsule at press outlet, to guarantee total quality control throughout the production stages. SACMI has also expanded its business by developing e specific technology for aluminum screw caps and, in recent years, investing in a new range of solutions for the application of PVC-free liners to long aluminium caps for the wine sector (PMH). SACMI has also invested in the new Ring-Pull cap standard, developing complete systems for the realisation os such caps, including press (PTS), lining machine (PMV) and the technology for moulding the practical ring with tab (RCM).
