Light and fast, high-performance and sustainable: this is the packaging of the future, which SACMI will be showcasing at the 20th edition of
Saudi Print & Pack,
from 12 to 15 May at the Convention & Exhibition Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A world-leading technology provider that is taking the industry towards
new high-efficiency standards, SACMI offers the market a unique range that combines
cap and preform design-development with a new generation of increasingly
productive, sophisticated machines that feature new digital process control tools.
New 29/25 mm lightened necks and easy-to-open caps
The new preform with
lightened 29/25 mm neck is the flagship of the SACMI range for the Saudi market, as demonstrated by the quantity and quality of projects completed with key market players in recent years.
For example,
Rafa Water, a leader in the high-quality bottled water segment, recently introduced the new optimized necks in combination with the
easy-to-open cap that delivers an improved consumer experience.
Suitable for standard caps, the solution is as profitable as it is versatile. The 15% lighter neck translates into PET savings of some
200 tons per year, allowing for a much faster
ROI without any disruption to bottling lines.
Services provided by the
SACMI Rigid Pack Beverage LAB ensure plenty of scope for customization, with solutions certified by the main international brand owners. These include the broadest range on the new
GME 30.40 standards, developed with CETIE, the main international certification body.
CCM64MD, the fastest cap press ever
2025 sees the arrival of a brand new generation of SACMI presses that deliver
ultra-high speeds to match the needs of high-volume bottling lines. The CCM64MD - the first version of this new machine concept that takes full advantage of SACMI’s unrivalled expertise on both press and mold - takes output rates to
2,850 caps per minute (that’s over 170,000 capsules per hour) and has 64 molds.
Offering
50% more productivity than previous models, the CCM64MD integrates optimized
SACMI Cool+® molds, reducing cycle times to just
1.35 seconds. It also drastically reduces the required floor space (a single machine can feed up to two high-capacity bottling lines) and provides energy savings of 15% compared to the previous generation.
A winning solution that, in combination with the
IPS preform press, takes line efficiency to new heights. It can also be combined with exclusive
digital tools (Smart Pack, vision systems, Smart Care) for
process control and proactive task/maintenance management.
In short, a not-to-be-missed opportunity for visitors to Saudi Print&Pack: at the SACMI stand, they can also get a closer look at
further developments, already in the pipeline, that are leading towards a new generation of increasingly powerful preform injection and cap compression machines, specifically designed to support the high volumes required by the market.
