SACMI @ IPF Bangladesh 2026

SACMI @ IPF Bangladesh 2026

From 28 to 31 January 2026, SACMI will be at the Bangladesh International Plastics, Printing & Packaging Industry Fair, in Dhaka, to showcase cutting-edge cap and preform manufacturing technologies and services. On show: new high-efficiency cap standards and the market’s most comprehensive tethered offering, developed by the Rigid Packaging Lab

Everything’s now ready for the 18th edition of IPF Bangladesh (Dhaka, 28 - 31 January 2026), where SACMI cap- and preform-making solutions will again take centre-stage. Building on its solid global leadership, SACMI aims to focus on even higher-performance technologies and its unique product development expertise: all in keeping with the strictest international standards, combining unmatched sustainability with efficiency and an unrivalled consumer experience.

The 26/22 mm neck-cap transition

The transition to the new 26/22 mm neck-cap standard is a key market driver. Hence SACMI’s development of the market’s widest range of water, CSD and hot fill caps. Key innovations in this field - developed by the SACMI Rigid Packaging Lab - include the new UniAqua™ 25/22 and 26/22 cap family of premium short-neck closures that share the upper mold; these are ideal for sustainable, efficient, flexible production of numerous cap types, as they can all be made using the same upper mold.

New ultra-light CSD and water caps

Reducing virgin resin consumption while maintaining an optimal consumer experience continues to be the ‘main attraction’ of the SACMI range. At IPF the spotlight will, among other things, be on the new ultra-light AB26CSD12 cap for CSD GME 30.41, which weighs just 1.5 - 1.7 g and features quick changeovers. For still water, instead, SACMI had developed the lightest cap on the market, weighing less than 1 gram.

Tethered-ready: growing interest on Asian markets

A ‘must’ in Europe due to regulatory requirements, the tethered standard is increasingly attractive on global markets, especially in Asia, partly as a result of policies implemented by the industry’s leading global brand owners.
Here too, SACMI stays ahead of market trends by combining simplicity-focused technology (post-processing solution) with a range of ready-to-use products, in particular the AB26CSD T5 GME 30.40 26/22 mm cap, a globally established solution that allows for a simple transition to the new standard simply by modifying the slitting system. A key proposal that meets regulatory and environmental requirements while maintaining maximum production efficiency.

Technology and services: «Born to perform» and new digital packages

A winning combination of cap presses (CCM) and preform presses (IPS) makes SACMI a market stand-out. For example, the new CCM64MD achieves output rates of up to 2,850 caps/min with only 64 moulds, the industry’s highest-ever performance.
In 2025, SACMI also closed the year with the launch of new preform presses, such as the new IPS400D, a solution designed to maximize production, minimize consumption and simplify management and settings. Alongside these, advanced digital packages (Smart Care and Smart Pack) and vision systems are available on all machines; these combine ultra-precise quality control with maximum ease of use, and take advantage of the opportunities offered by AI.
