Two new high pressure casting cells recently installed for WC production. An all-Italian partnership laying the foundations for the future of this brand, long-standing flagship in the Belluno ceramics industry.
Ceramica Dolomite invests in cutting-edge SACMI automation technology for the manufacture of ceramic sanitaryware. Two new AVM cells have recently been installed and started up in their complete configuration, equipped with tools for the robotized green finishing of WCs.
The Dolomite brand has been a well-known name in the history of Italian ceramics for fifty years, since its foundation in 1965 at Trichiana (now Borgo Valbelluna) at the foot of the Belluno Dolomites. The company’s passion and know-how have a new lease of life for the future thanks to the decision of the new management – a consortium of local entrepreneurs – to launch a plan to update its technology, starting from a key phase in the work process; high-pressure casting of WCs.
The two new AVM have started operating at the Trichiana plant alongside the existing solutions which have been supplied over the years, thanks to the twenty-year partnership with the SACMI group, including the Riedhammer kiln, started up in 2018, and the Gaiotto glazing cells, running since the early 2000s.
In addition to the machinery supply, SACMI offered its support for the industrialization of new models created by the customer. Constant attention to the development of product design and quality is at the basis of the recent decision to invest. By focusing on quality and automation, solid foundations are being laid for the future of the Dolomite brand, already a flagship company in the Belluno area and for the Made in Italy ceramic manufacturing sector in general.
