Long-established partnership between SACMI and the Teramo-based company consolidated. One of the first in Italy to invest in RobotClean, Hatria expands with installation of second finishing cell complete with automatic handling. Further recognition of this landmark technology for the Italian sanitaryware sector.
Leading Italian sanitaryware manufacturer with headquarters in Teramo, Hatria strengthens its partnership with SACMI with the purchase of a second RobotClean solution. This is the robotized finishing system which eliminates manual handling for white finishing, thus improving working conditions and enhancing the quality of the finished piece.
Hatria was one of the first companies to invest in this innovative technology, which was developed by SACMI in 2021 and is recognized today as a benchmark for the Italian sanitaryware sector. A twin of the previous solution installed, the cell supplied to Hatria is equipped with automatic handling for transfer of the piece to the robot and subsequently to the inspection system before glazing.
RobotClean is equipped with specific abrasive tools to work on each part of the sanitaryware piece – outside, inside, edges, rim – thus guaranteeing optimum finishing quality and repeatability. In addition to guaranteeing an excellent and consistent finishing quality, the system also eliminates manual handling operations leaving the operator (who no longer comes into contact with the piece during this stage) to more skillful tasks under better working conditions.
Thanks to SACMI’s Smart Offline NG programming software, the robot tasks can be programmed in a simple and intuitive way, simulating the finishing effects on the real piece and optimizing all the resources used in the process.
As with the previous solution installed, the twin finishing cell just supplied is set up to interface with the customer’s factory supervisor. This makes it possible to track all operations, record data, generate quality statistics in real time and monitor performance indicators.
The result is a complete white finishing “eco-system”; the first of its kind on the market, proposed by SACMI as a further step towards total automation of sanitaryware manufacture.
