Two PH 5200 presses, a complete set of molds and an ATI090 spray dryer supplied. A clear sign of commitment to sub-Saharan Africa, where producers are increasingly attentive to cutting-edge technology and product quality
Those seeking quality seek out SACMI: confirmation of that now comes from Benin, in the heart of sub-Saharan Africa, where the first greenfield plant for floor and wall tiles, Afrikan Ceramics Solutions, has been started up.
Part of the Equitane Group, which operates across Africa in various sectors such as textiles, pharma and agrifood, the customer commissioned SACMI to supply two new PH 5200 presses, entirely Made in Italy, and an ATI090 spray dryer.
The two presses were provided with a complete set of molds by SACMI Molds & Dies, allowing the company to produce around 10,000 m2 of porcelain stoneware per day in the popular 60x60 and 60x120 cm sizes.
The new site is located in the Glo-Djigbe industrial district, 50 km north of Cotonou, the country's largest city and its economic capital. For SACMI, this order marks the beginning of a key partnership in an area where increasing demand for uncompromising quality is matched by keen interest in highly competitive, high-performance, reliable manufacturing solutions to drive growth among local producers.
