The latest purchase brings the number of AVI solutions operating at the Chongqing plant to 10. This new investment reaffirms the reliability and winning concept of the AVI, benchmark product for the manufacture of complex WCs with a high level of automation and versatility. The valued partnership between SACMI and Duravit is further consolidated for all the key technologies in the production process.
Duravit China purchases two more AVI casting cells bringing the total number installed at its Chongqing production plant to 10. With this new investment, Duravit once more chooses the reliability and winning concept of SACMI’s AVI solution, with 10 of these machines purchased since 2021 and the latest two just started up at the flagship Chinese plant renowned worldwide for its high level of technology and automation.
Just as with the previous purchases, the latest investment capitalizes on the AVI concept of a casting cell “at the service” of the robot making it possible to produce even highly complex pieces with maximum versatility and rapid mould change-over. As on all the machines of this type, the robot carries out most of the operations automatically, from composing the mould to sticking on the rim, up to demoulding and deposit in the pre-dryer.
In addition to reaffirming its choice for this specific casting solution, with this investment, Duravit extends and strengthens its global partnership with SACMI for the supply of all the key technologies in the production process; from casting to glazing, from slip preparation to firing up to automatic handling.
This latest supply also consolidates SACMI’s role as valued partner in product development thanks to its porous resin moulds which are supplied following advanced functionality tests to guarantee the best possible result during production.
