Soon to be previewed at the Düsseldorf fair (8-15 October 2025), this system takes off-line preform quality control towards total automation, eliminating the need for manual tasks during format changeovers. Also on show: the latest ‘smart solutions’, CVS OneCam and Spark Tester
With the market’s widest, most comprehensive range of vision systems for quality and process control, SACMI is the industry’s n. 1 innovator. At the K 2025 fair (Düsseldorf, 8 - 15 October), the company will introduce the new PVS Robot, which takes automated off-line preform inspection to the next level.
Alongside this new robotic solution, SACMI will be showcasing CVS OneCam, a powerful, flexible alternative to traditional quality control systems, and the revamped Spark Tester, now more compact, versatile and intelligent than ever.
Automatic handling and storage, total usability
A follow-up to the successful PVS002, the new PVS Robot takes automatic preform inspection to a whole new level. Designed to deliver flexibility, automation and ease of use, the system integrates a Scara robot for handling and a fully automated format warehouse, allowing preforms from different presses to be inspected without any need for manual format changeovers.
Key features include the adoption of roller-type positioners with automatic format changeovers or bin picking systems with an articulated robot and 3D sensors to simplify the workers’ tasks. Capable of inspecting up to 1,200 pieces/hour (without weighing) with a precision close to that of a quality control lab, PVS Robot has a modular, scalable structure that includes integrated weighing and configurable compliance thresholds.
CVS OneCam: compact, simple, effective
Alongside the all-new PVS Robot, SACMI will be presenting CVS OneCam, the new embedded vision system that focuses on compactness and integration. Designed for low-complexity applications, CVS OneCam enables complete, real-time quality control, controlling the entire inspection cycle efficiently and precisely.
The system identifies the most common defects (contamination, color and profile variations, structural defects) with the utmost effectiveness, merging the functions of reject control and tracking of the parts being inspected.
All this is made possible by the SACMI CVS software suite; this has all the main SACMI system functions, including recipe changeovers without line stoppages and communication via standard industrial interfaces (ModBus, OPC-UA).
Designed to respond to optimize costs and use of space, CVS ONECAM offers a powerful, flexible alternative to traditional vision systems. Compactness and a competitive price make it perfect for revamping existing plants
High-speed inspection for ‘invisible’ defects
The review of new SACMI products on show at K 2025 ends with the revamped Spark Tester, the non-destructive system designed to detect micro-holes and micro-cracks in injection-made plastic caps, faults that are often undetectable with traditional vision systems. This solution retains all the functionality of the existing model while adding new features such as the EtherCat protocol for data communication with the machine PLC, remote voltage setting and the incorporation of an external humidity/temperature sensor to ensure optimal performance even under changing environmental conditions.
Now even more compact, versatile and intelligent, SACMI Spark Tester offers a perfect combination of high-speed inspection (up to 4,000 pcs/min) and excellent reliability.
