Suitable for in-line use on an injection moulding machine, an assembler or any other process machine, the CHS machine in its different versions allows precise inspection of plastic caps and its components. Configurable with up to 7 cameras and with speeds up to 270,000 caps per hour, it can inspect functional and visible parts of the cap, perform indicative measurement of diameters and heights, inspect the decoration and the side wall, including the breakage of the tamper-evident band. CHS101 has been designed to be paired to a production machine such as SFM or PMV, with the aim to control the public side of plastic caps. By means of 5 cameras and advanced inspection tools, it reliably controls the external bottom (with or without decoration) and the external sidewall of plastic caps.
CVS102 includes a wide range of vision systems configurable with up to 7 cameras and suitable for the inside, outside (with and without decoration) and side wall inspection of plastic screw caps, at a speed of up to 360,000 caps per hour. Available both integrated in SACMI machines and on customer’s existing lines, suitable to inspect plastic caps produced both with compression and injection technology.
The Spark Tester system allows the identification of micro-holes and micro-cracks by applying a high voltage and low current potential at the bottom end sides of plastic caps. Designed and manufactured by SACMI, it ensures:
CVS154 has been designed to control the caps after the operation of folding and slitting and it is fully integrated with SACMI SCM/SFM machines. It can be configured with 2 or 6 cameras to control the interior or interior and the external sidewall.
CVS360-3D is an innovative hardware/software module developed by SACMI R&D. Thanks to four cameras placed around the object and sophisticated 3D software algorithms, CVS360-3D is capable to develop a 3D object in a 2D image making a compensation of any deformation that may stem from perspective, spatial position and lens deformation, thus reproducing always a perfect unroll of the profile.
The PFMC performs destructive checks on the cap tamper-evident band. The pull test measures: • breaking force of the bridges; • breaking force of the lugs keeping the cap tethered to the bottle neck. The machine records the measured values and provides a range of statistics. It can work as either a stand-alone unit or on a production line. The optional CVS-CUT vision system inspects the tamper-evident band before the destructive test. It features a high-resolution line scan camera ensuring a resolution below 0.01 mm.
CVS153 has been designed to control the seal moulded by the PMV machine, using specific lighting and software recipies for different product (pull ring, MASC, ROPP, plastic caps). Thanks to an additional optional camera, it can also control the decoration.
One to three cameras to detect and eject visible defects in the capsules immediately after the moulding. Moreover, other cameras are applied for a total process control of the CCMM.
The CVS PTC vision system is integrated into the new PTC600 cap press and has been designed to ensure a perfect centering of the decoration in each crown cap. CVS PTC measures the relative distance between the lithography and the edge on 2 positions on the sheet and communicates it to the control logic, which, by activating a motorised positioning system, corrects the position of the sheet to guarantee the perfect centring of the cap.
Fully integrated into PMC lining machines, CVS151 controls the quality of the gasket produced by the machine. By means of an additional camera, it can also control the quality of the artwork. Read more
CAT 300 is able to inspect both the product and public sides of crown caps, with speeds up to 3,000 caps/minute. Complete with orienter, the CAT 300 can be easily installed both stand-alone or in-line.
The CVS CCD is installed on the CCD 300 machine and guides its motion system so that the decoration on the cap and the embossing are perfectly aligned. The CVS CCD identifies the lithography of each cap and calculates its rotation angle with respect to a preset reference. The data is then communicated to the automation system of the machine, which then rotates the brushless motor that equips each single cavity, so that the embossing perfectly matches the decoration.
The CHS machine has been designed in different versions for the in-line and off-line quality inspection of aluminium caps at a speed up to 250,000 caps/hour. Thanks to its modular structure, the machine can be configured according to your needs. The use of high-resolution cameras allows in-line measurements of your production with an accuracy of up to 1/100 mm. The new CVs20 software introduces advanced inspection tools to reliably inspect the entire closure, both the inner and outer side (with or without decoration) and the sidewall.
Fully integrated into PMH lining machine, CVS PMH uses up to 6 cameras to fully control tall aluminium caps, including the gasket, the artwork and the side wall.
CVS PULL-RING has been designed to control the tab produced with the RCM machine. Thanks to additional cameras, CVS PULL RING can also control the decoration and the inside of the caps before boxing.
Fully integrated into PMA lining machine, MVS PMA has been designed to properly inspect the gasket. Moreover, using additional cameras, it can control the decoration, the lugs and the curl.
CVS PTV installed on the PTV119 cap press has been designed to ensure perfect lithography centering in each aluminum cap
