New machine recently installed to increase output capacity by 50%, working alongside the other two machines already operating since 2021. SACMI-SAMA’s PCM 150 GREEN pressure casting machine is confirmed as “best seller” on the market thanks to its versatility for the production of special pieces with high added value.
Specialized in the tableware sector since 1986, the Portuguese company Fapor has purchased another SACMI-SAMA PCM 150 GREEN/D pressure casting machine.
Best seller on the market due to its unique versatility, the PCM 150 GREEN/D is an addition to the other two solutions already operating at the plant since 2021, thus increasing production capacity in this segment by 50%.
As with the previous supplies, this machine will be dedicated to the manufacture of the special single-fired oven dishes which are the showpiece of Fapor’s collection since their decision to invest in this high added value sector alongside the traditional porcelain and stoneware production lines at their factory in Batalha.
The distinguishing feature of the PCM 150 GREEN/D is the possibility to manage every type of article, whether holloware or flatware, or having a particular shape, with a large pressing area (up to 4950 cm²) with maximum flexibility to handle a variety of formats and sizes.
In its configuration with double plate, it is also possible to run two production lots simultaneously with two pressing units, even installing different moulds. The machine is therefore ideal for handling small lots, without having a negative effect on production.
Furthermore, following the first successful project, Fapor recognized the advantages offered by the easy-to-use technology (which can be installed in an extremely fast and simple way) and the excellent operator training.
