The Portuguese company has installed two additional AVM casting modules at its plant in Tocha. The AVM is SACMI’s high automation solution which is renowned on the market for the manufacture of complex WCs. The new supply means production capacity can be further increased up to 140 pieces per day.
Leading player in the industry for 30 years, Sanindusa is today one of the largest sanitaryware manufacturers in the Iberian Peninsula. With its partner SACMI, the company is still growing its production capacity and automation, focusing on the product quality and process efficiency which is guaranteed by high-pressure casting technology.
Recently installed and started up successfully at the production plant in Tocha, the new casting cell supplied by SACMI is made up of two AVM machines served by a robot. This cell is an addition to the previous “twin” solutions supplied and brings to 16 the total number of AVM machines currently operating at the customer’s factory.
The automation and repeatable quality which are guaranteed by the SACMI solution serve to ensure the continued increase of Sanindusa’s production output, focusing especially on the areas of highest added value. The AVM is, in fact, known throughout the industry as a benchmark solution for the manufacture of complex WCs - thanks also to the large number of optionals available (such as the piece turnover system) – which make it possible to manage efficient production of a variety of models, from floor-mounted WCs to innovative back-to-wall versions.
This latest investment is part of Sanindusa’s wider project which has involved all its production departments over the last few years, from casting to glazing up to LGV handling. Thanks to the 2 new AVM, the customer can increase its production capacity to up to 140 pieces per day.
