A complete finishing cell has just been installed at Ceramica Alice, in the heart of the Civita Castellana district. It is equipped with two finishing robots and automatic handling for transferring the piece to the cell and, following finishing operations, passing it on to the inspection station before glazing.
With SACMI RobotClean, the operator no longer carries out any operations in direct contact with the piece. In fact, once transferred to the cell, the article is finished by robots using special abrasive tools and following recipes set by Smart Offline NG programming software; Sacmi’s specially-devised multi-platform cross-application solution for automatic control of the sanitaryware production line.
The result is a complete white finishing “eco-system”; the first of its kind on the market, proposed by SACMI as a further step towards full production automation, with the twin advantage of improving the working environment and achieving perfectly repeatable finishing quality.
The cell supplied to Ceramica Alice is programmed to interface with the customer’s factory supervisor, making it possible to trace all operations carried out on the piece, record data, generate quality statistics in real time and monitor performance indicators.
