At IBIE 2025 - The Baking Expo (14-17 September), SACMI’s bakery-specific primary and secondary packaging solutions will take center-stage. Shortly afterwards, at Pack Expo Vegas (29 September - 1 October), the complete SACMI range for chocolate preparation, molding, wrapping and primary/secondary packaging will go on show. Two exhibitions in barely two weeks, demonstrating a sharp focus on the US market.
SACMI Packaging & Chocolate is getting ready for two major fairs in the USA. From 14 to 17 September 2025, the company will be at IBIE - The Baking Expo, a major three-yearly event for the bakery industry (i.e. baked goods, bread, cookies, croissants) and the related packaging technologies. Just fifteen days later, from 29 September to 1 October, SACMI Packaging & Chocolate again plays a leading role, this time at Pack Expo Vegas, the international packaging & food processing fair. Both events will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Gentle, versatile, high-performance: primary packaging solutions for the bakery world
SACMI Packaging & Chocolate's excellent range of primary packaging technologies, tailored to the needs of the bakery sector, will pay a major role at IBIE.
More specifically, visitors will have an opportunity to see the HPS50, a horizontal flowpack machine designed to deliver efficiency, application versatility and optimized running/maintenance costs. Ideal for medium-speed lines – up to 20 meters per minute – the HPS50 stands out for its fully electronic control, outstanding configurability to match the product being made, excellent user-friendliness and flawless integration on automatic packaging lines.
Completing the range are a series of secondary packaging solutions: highly automated systems (e.g. pick & place robots) combine accurate handling of even the most delicate products with the exceptional performance demanded by the market. Key plus-points: ergonomics, hygienic design, and maximum integration between primary and secondary packaging to simplify plant management and maintenance.
“Everything for chocolate. Packaging for everything”
After IBIE, SACMI Packaging & Chocolate returns to Pack Expo Vegas, a premium showcase for the entire packaging and food processing supply chain. Here, the complete range - from chocolate processing and molding to wrapping and primary-secondary packaging - is set to play a leading role.
For example, in terms of primary packaging, SACMI will be showcasing, alongside the HPS50, the VPS40C, a vertical all-stainless-steel packaging machine designed for quick cleaning and maintenance. With output rates of up to 120 packages per minute, the VPS40C delivers excellent reliability, versatility and performance. Its ability to handle a vast range of wrapping materials (compostable films, monolayer products, barrier paper, polypropylene and eco-laminates) also makes it sustainable. What’s more, it supports a wide range of packaging styles to respond to the needs of even the most demanding customers.
That’s not all. The new HY7 ‘Cut&Wrap’, which belongs to the latest generation of electronically controlled wrapping machines, can be seen in a ‘one-step’ configuration that cuts and packages toffee candies. Able to produce up to 700 pieces per minute, this machine merges product cutting and double bow wrapping into a single process, ensuring consistently high performance thanks to the electronic control that adjusts every movement precisely.
Needless to say, Pack Expo will also feature the long-standing chocolate preparation and molding business of Carle & Montanari, a world-leading producer of chocolate and confectionery processing machines since 1907.
Attending both events will allow SACMI Packaging & Chocolate to maintain its strategic focus on the North American market, also through effective teamwork with SACMI USA, which provides customers with close support every step of the way, from design to technical assistance.
