The fleet of LGV operating at the Chinese Plant of the Duravit Group – internationally renowned for its high level of automation – grows with the addition of 4 new vehicles to sustain production expansion at Duravit China 3 alongside the new SACMI casting and glazing lines.
Internationally renowned for its high level of control automation, the ultra-modern factory at Chongqing, Chinese Headquarters of the Duravit Group, has purchased 4 new SACMI LGV, bringing the total LGV fleet at the plant to 24 vehicles.
To sustain the increase in production output and assist factory logistics following the recently completed plant expansion, the new vehicles will be mainly dedicated to the new portion of the factory known as DCN3 (Duravit China 3).
With this investment, the company is looking to the future: the LGVs supplied will serve the new casting area and the drying zone as well as the new SACMI RobotGlaze glazing cells coming into operation in 2024.
All the new LGV supplied are equipped with lithium batteries which, thanks to their greater efficiency, lifetime and charging speed compared to traditional batteries, greatly improve the performance of the vehicle.
This supply shows the continuation of a constant partnership between SACMI and the Duravit Group and demonstrates the Group’s focus on developing its Chinese factory by implementing total automation, batch tracking, logistics efficiency and monitoring of performance indicators.
This project is just one of many others carried out by SACMI at the Duravit Group’s main bases throughout the world to support the multi-national quality sanitaryware manufacturer with its plans for growth.
