Sanindusa installs first SACMI ADM machine

New investment in response to market trend for a return to ceramic kitchen sinks. First stage in a project to be completed during the course of the year, the machine is a new addition to the extensive SACMI RobotCasting technology already installed at the company headquarters in Aveiro.

Portuguese manufacturer Sanindusa has installed the first SACMI ADM machine at its main plant in Aveiro for pressure casting of kitchen sinks. Configured in a “rotary” version, the machine can work with any kind of mould to produce items in porcelain or fine fire clay.

The machine just installed is an ADM 160 expandable model with automatic rotation. The unique advantages of SACMI ADM technology include the possibility to manufacture even complex and large-sized articles efficiently. This is perfect for Sanindusa, which is adding new kitchen sinks with width of up to 1 m and depth up to 3-400 mm to its product range. The robot serving the cell, with a useful handling load of up to 210 kg, is also specially designed for the transfer of heavy articles with high precision handling.
The purchase of this machine is a response to the latest market trends showing a significant return to the ceramic kitchen sink with one or two cavities.

Founded 31 years ago in the city of Aveiro, Sanindusa has grown into a renowned brand throughout Europe valued for its production quality and attention to design. The investment will be completed later in the year with the supply of a second ADM machine confirming SACMI as the number one choice for all key phases of production.
The arrival of the ADM extends the range of SACMI high-pressure casting solutions already operating successfully at Aveiro which include ALS, ADS, AVM and AVE machines.
