SACMI-SAMA introduces PCW010; the new cup handle pressure casting machine set to revolutionize the industry with consistently higher quality and repeatability, plus exceptional versatility, compared to traditional plaster mould casting.
With this solution, production outputs of 300 pieces per hour can be reached with multi-cavity moulds (up to 5 cavities each mould), marking a further step towards full automation of the tableware plant. As well as eliminating manual demoulding, PCW010 significantly reduces the number of finishing operations required after demoulding, thanks to the superior casting quality and the use of porous resin moulds made with our exclusive SAMApor® technology.
With the PCW010, the handles are automatically demoulded and deposited on supports thus minimizing any of the possible defects or variations typically resulting from manual handling. This is a compact, modular machine which can be easily integrated into existing forming departments. Furthermore, the innovative mould change-over system guarantees maximum flexibility, even for small-sized batches and frequent size change-over, cutting downtime and maintaining consistent quality.
Compared to traditional plaster mould casting, this solution offers additional benefits in terms of production cost reduction and environmental footprint. In particular, the decrease in material (plaster) costs and mould production costs also means savings in water and energy consumption for drying.
